Hi Dolls,
Happy Fall.
So, I've been on the road with the wonderful people that make up the
crew and musicians of "Matters of the Heart"... minus my beloved
Dick Gallagher. Get better, Dickie.
We've been
to Columbus, Ohio and Minneapolis, Minnesota. While Columbus had some
very fine restaurants and wonderful audiences... the hotel left much
to be desired. Nice people but I'll leave it at that. Minneapolis on
the other hand is a vital, vibrant city. Such an active downtown. My
houses were smaller than Columbus but the people were equally as enthusiastic
about the show. And, the hotel was sublime. The Crowne Plaza Northstar.
The bartender Jim is well worth a drink in the bar.
You know,
the women of Minneapolis kinda look like farmer, hippie, intellectuals
from Berkeley. Why in the tundra are so many women wearing open toe
shoes? Those shoes being Birkenstocks. All in all I had a wonderful
time and would love to investigate the central north of America. It
has a pretty interesting vibe. We did have one sour moment in a Bucca
da Beppo. The hostess was a controlling condescending ignorant
ex-cheerleader, punishing us for being late by 15 minutes and not seating
us for half an hour while our table sat there empty. I complained bitterly.
So don't bother with the Bucca da Beppo in Minneapolis.
Anyway, I
urge you to vote. That's it for now.
Love, Patti
