Hi Dolls,  

Eeeks... it's cold. Where was summer? Josh is in school, growing like a weed. It's almost Halloween, the leaves are changing, it's my favorite time of year.  

I'm still obsessed with Spain. I have finished reading "Tales of The Alhambra" by Washington Irving and am immersed in George Orwell's "Homage to Catalonia", his account of the Spanish Civil War as he was fighting it. Then I shall read the book and watch the movie, "For Whom The Bell Tolls". Then I shall tramp the hills where the war took place and wish Americans had as much political energy and desire as the Spaniards of the 1930's.

Next month I may be telling you all about my problems with Thermador ovens.
